Blouse Design

You can have a closer look of the blouse. I had hi-lighted the back neck with lovely tiny pearls which exactly match with the saree giving it a royal touch. These line of pearls come in between two lines of stone sequence in red and blue. The same sequence is followed on the hands also.

White crepe saree with polka dots

This is another beautiful combination of a white crepe saree with polka dots. I have given this saree a blue banarasi border and the same material for the blouse. Both the saree and blouse are hand-embroidered. Hope you like it. Keep watching my blog for interesting stuff !!

Banaras pattu saree with pitai work on blouse

I have taken a pink colored banaras material to get a kurti stitched. Suddenly i changed my mind and tried converting into a half and half saree. To my wonder it transformed into a rich wedding saree. The body of the saree is a sea green pattu fabric and the pleats are of barasd material in pink. I have used the same material as the saree border highlighting it with a silk strip. For the blouse I have taken a plain pattu fabric in the same pink matching the saree, The hand work on the blouse is pitai work with a golden thread. The border of the saree also follows on the hands of the blouse.

Zardosi Work

Let me introduce you to the different types of saree works.Zardosi work is mostly done on satin, velvet and other heavy fabrics. Golden threads are used with metal wire embroidery to make patterns on the saree. In earlier times, real gold thread was used instead of metal threads.

Zardosi Banaras Blouse

Banarasi fabric has set a new trend for designer clothing. The fabric itself is so rich that it can be worn as it is. This fabric used in the blouse is a rare multi-color combination. I wanted a more party look so highlighted the design with multicolor zardosi work in stone. It can be worn on any plain saree in pattu, georgette or crepe. Red or ink blue plain sarees will go well with this blouse. You can click on the image for a larger picture. Let me know your comments...

Kanchi Pattu Saree with Antique Blouse

This time I tried giving an antique look for my kanchi pattu saree. The saree is an excellent combination of bright haldi yellow and light blue. I have left the saree and it is and have given a rich antique kundan work for the blouse. If you can take a closer look at the blouse the back neck and the hands are highlighted with kundan work. Hope you like my work !! Keep watching my blog for more innovative designs.

Unique Saree Blouses

Wearing a very costly saree is no more in fashion. Blouses are more expensive than the saree. Its so good to wear a blouse especially designed for you and which matches with other sarees too... this is the uniqueness of my designs !!

9th July, 2010

I was chatting over coffee with my close cousin and a great idea popped our minds. She planned to dig over her old kanchi pattu sarees and remake them. Obviously who will be fond of them now? Either can we freeze them in our cupboards for years. So she stared with one and I will come up with those pictures soon..... Keep watching !!
